    As a U.S. attorney—I mean, lawyer—I have endeavored for decades to refer to myself as a lawyer. But just yesterday, I typed “attorney,” before catching myself and replacing it with “lawyer.” I always thought attorney sounded cooler. My first job was for a 100 yr. old firm whose letterhead included the subheading (after the 4 old names) “Attorneys and Counselors.” Oh, to be a Counselor!!
