While the cartoon Rocky and Bullwinkle indubitably used and over used, “Curses, Foiled Again”; There are many contradictory stories surrounding its origin. For the Brits, and some of us reared in british colonies, we’d heard stories connected to the founders of Foyles Bookstore. This may not be the only alternate theory.
Its certainly entertaining to know of several proposed origins.
